Ofsted

Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) reports directly to Parliament and is both independent and impartial. It inspects and regulates services that care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.

The aim of its work is to promote improvement and value for money in the services it inspects and regulates, to the benefit of children and young people, parents and carers, adult learners and employers.
